Journey Community Church are built to live through the lens of our 10 core values. These values have shaped our identity as a community. We passionately believe in each one.

10 Core Values.

Seek First His Kingdom

We believe that seeking God and His kingdom is important. We value worship, prayer and the word of God in partnership with the impartation of the Holy Spirit.

A Priesthood of all Believers

We believe in a priesthood of all believers as described in 1 Peter 2:9. A community devoted to God and telling the world about His goodness, where everyone is valued and gets to play their part.

A Culture of Honour

We believe in establishing a culture of honour, valuing each other in love and putting others before ourselves as found in Romans 12:10. Covenant relationship is held higher than agreement or individual issues.

Impacting our Community

We are a light to our world as Jesus said in Matthew 5. This means building strong relationships with those around us, reaching the lost through evangelism and planting churches. 

A Prophetic Voice to Ireland

We believe in being a voice of truth against sectarianism and discrimination. We are non-denominational and egalitarian, standing as a voice for all based on 1st Corinthians 9:22-23.

Focused on His Presence

We believe that God delights in us and has always desired to be with us, as shown in Ephesians 1:4-5. Our first ministry is to God, we are called to keep our awareness on Him.

God’s Word Transforms

The goal of scripture is to bring us into relationship with the author and to transform us into His likeness. We encounter God in the word and He sustains us through it as found in Matthew 4:4.

God is Good

We believe that God is not against us but for us, His judgement was finalised through the cross of Christ. He desires for us to prosper. Jesus reveals the love and priorities of the Father in His life and sacrifice as we see described in Hebrews 1:2-3.

His Kingdom is Advancing

We believe and live the prayer, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven.” We have a big God and He has won the battle as shown in 1 John 4:4.

Creating Healthy Families

We believe in creating healthy families, we intentionally seek what is best for all. We are all adopted into God’s family as shown in Ephesians 2:19, and we are all moving forward and growing together.
